2006년도부터 국가고시 직접실기시험으로 치면세마 단일 항목이 시행되었다, 치석제거의 기초적 기술로 기구조작 원칙에서 세부적이고 다양한 치석제거를 배우기 위한 교과목이다. 치석제거 외에 치석탐지술, 치근활택술, 치주관리업무능력, 치주세정 이론 및 수행에 대해 이해하며 기구관리,소독,치과장비 관리 등 환자 구강내 적용에 필요한 전단계 이론과목이다. 또한 국가고시 필기 20문항으로 실습시 꼭 습득해야할 중요한 교과목이다. 이론 슬라이드 수업후 개인 치아모형으로 수기구적용 및 개별 기구시험도 행해진다.

The dental flossing has been adopted as the single subject of practical test in the national examination since 2006. This subject aims to equip students with basic practical techniques, ranging from basic usage of instruments to the techniques for removal of specific and various plaques. In addition to removal of plaques, this subject helps build up knowledge about plaque detection, root planning, periodontal care skills, periodontal cleaning theory and performance. This subject presents theories that students need to understand prior to intraoral application such instrument management, disinfection and dental equipment management. In addition, it is an important subject that helps equip students with practical skill that can be improved on the basis of the 20 written questions in the national examination. After the theoretical leaning with the help of slides, students will apply manual instruments to individual dental models and undergo a test on individual instruments.

포괄치위생업무를 수행하기위한 2학년 첫 실습시간에는 활력징후 ,구강내,외 검사, 치면세균막검사, 탐침사용법,챠트작성, 환자 치료계획설정,평가를 하기위한 기초실습을 배우고자 한다. 1학년 임상기초치위생학을 배웠지만, 다시 이론내용을 슬라이드를 통해 리뷰하고 2인1조 조편성하여 마네킹 실습에 임한다. 수기구를 사용하여 마네킹에 실제 사분악으로 나눠서 치은연상부위,치은연하부위 연습을 한다. 매주 부위별 체크를 받고 조원 구강내 치석제거를 하고자한다.

This textbook consists of 15 chapters that cover wide-ranging aspects of dental conservation including the concept of dental restoration, history of conservation studies, requirements of restorative materials, sequence of intraoral application by type of restorative materials, and tooth whitening, and methods to deal with many different types of patients. In addition, this subject will help equip the students with communication techniques necessary for dealing with patient, along with counseling techniques on which each group of students, comprised of 2 persons, will make presentation. Students will also examine clinical issues through presentation of their assignments on resin and gold prosthetic materials that have been recently thrust into limelight.
